Make Your P90X Workouts Work


I’m often asked about how I got such great results with P90X. When I’m asked I usually say something like “I showed up every day and did my best”. But the truth be told, it’s more than that.

If you want to make your P90X workouts work double time for you, you need to focus on a few things. First and foremost is your diet. You need to fuel your body correctly to grow muscle and burn fat. To do that you need fruits, veggies, and high quality lean protein. It’s hard these days to eat well all the time so one thing I do is to supplement my diet with a high quality whey protein powder.

I also use the right gear. For example, I use the P90X chin-up push-up bar. This is handy because it will fit many doorways and can be put up and taken down easily for every workout. That makes it easy to get those pull-ups done. Another great workout assist is to have either dumbbells or resistance bands for the arm and shoulder workouts. If you are on a limited budget, the resistance bands are the better investment. They are also preferred if you travel a lot.
